SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY.

When I think of Valentine's Day, I think of Love, Cake, Chocolates. 

I know Love should be practiced everyday. But, I think it's nice there's a day dedicated to Romance. Because we get too busy with work and life sometimes we forget to pause and take a breath and experience life. 

Below is a brief history of Saint Valentine's Day. 

It originated as a Christian feast day honoring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine and, through later folk traditions, has become a commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world.

Numerous early Christian martyrs were named Valentine. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome. Valentine of Rome was a priest in Rome who was martyred in 269 and was added to the calendar of saints by Pope Gelasius I in 496 and was buried on the Via Flaminia.

The first recorded association of Valentine's Day with romantic love is believed to be in the Parliament of Fowls (1382) by Geoffrey Chaucer

That earth and air and tree and every lake

Was so full, that not easily was there space
